High heels are an obsession with the movie stars, they are an important symbol of the pop culture, worn by all the glamorous celebrities no matter what the occasion ! In the present times high heels are a fashionable accessory and have become an important part of today’s modern women's day to day lifestyle.
If you are crazy about high heels do not make them your everyday choice, as the dangers of high heels are plenty . Read on to learn the negative aspects of wearing high heels.
Hip and Foot pain
The most common negative impact of wearing high heels for long duration is hip and foot pain. I am sure you will agree with me that most of us feel uncomfortable after standing for long in our favorite heels and experience pain and discomfort at the time of taking them off at the end of the day. When you walk in high heels the entire pressure of the body is entirely concentrated on the feet. Therefore wearing high heels for long period causes foot and hip pain.
Calluses, Corns and Bunions
High heels put a lot of pressure on the feet and are the main culprit for foot problems like calluses, corns and bunions. They cause severe damage to your precious feet. The constant rubbing or friction is the major cause for foot problems leading to dry skin. Calluses appear mainly on and between your toes and when calluses are not treated, they lead to the formation of corns. There is no fun in wearing beautiful pair of high heel shoes, only to reveal not so beautiful feet beneath.
Lower Back Pain and Knee pain
Most of the high heel lovers suffer from lower back pain and knee pain.. High heels make your body go forward and increase the pressure underneath your kneecap, and also cause the entire pressure of the body to fall on your lower back. Thus, cause both Knee pain and lower back pain simultaneously.
Osteoarthritis
Wearing high heels leads to osteoarthritis, which is a major problem faced by high heel lovers. Therefore, Knee osteoarthritis is twice as more common in women than in men.
No doubt high heel shoes boost self confidence; they add striking elegance to your persona. Make you look tall and attractive. Most of all they go along with all sorts of dresses, whether ethnic or western and can be easily worn on any and every occasion. However, if you want to stay fit and fine , it is very important that you vary your shoe choices and avoid the daily use of high heel shoes. The decision is entirely yours, if you continue with high heels then you are most likely to pave your way up for several health problems.

Lastly I would like to suggest that it is far better to opt for sensible plus comfortable shoes to work, and wear high heel shoes only in moderation. To all the high heel lovers, walk high in style, but move along with caution!
they look great!....but oh how they hurt.
I can't even begin to tell you how much I HATE to agree with you!!! But the truth is the truth! Have a closet full of them, each being worn once or twice! I am sooo sad. lol
Nothing makes your legs look so good.......and nothing is as bad for your feet. You didn't touch on twisted ankles - another fallback (no pun intended!).
